About W.I.L.L

Mission Statement:

We
Increase in Strength by
Loving God passionately
Leading to serving for Him intentionally

W.I.L.L. (Women In Love with the Lord) is a unique ministry.  There are five main reasons that make us unique.

First of all, our mission is “Building An Army of Strong-W.I.L.L. Women. We are accomplishing our mission by helping military-connected women to:

  • Connect to the only reliable source of strength, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
  • Serve one another on behalf of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Military focuses on building Army Strong families.  The Army Family Covenant begins with the statement… “the Army realizes that the strength of our Soldiers depends on the strength of their families”.  We as a ministry understand that true strength comes from a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 6:10 tells us to “be strong in the Lord and the power of His might”.   Therefore we encourage women to love the Lord Jesus Christ with all their heart, mind and soul (Luke 10:27) and in doing so they receive strength to thrive and not just survive.

Secondly, all of our women are military-connected.  We are made up of women who have actually served and/or presently serving in our nation’s armed forces, others are presently or have been married to Soldiers; some are presently working on military bases as government employees or have retired as one.  Then, there are others who have sons and daughters who are presently serving or have served in the armed forces.  Because we all understand the challenges of military life we feel the call of God to connect with other military-connect women for spiritual growth and to serve each other.

Thirdly, we see ourselves mainly as a marketplace ministry with Fort Bragg being our primary mission field although we are not limited to the marketplace.

Fourth, we have the awesome opportunity to serve our military families by coming alongside of our military chaplains and the Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) assisting them in serving and providing spiritual support for our military families.

Fifth, we have been called by our Lord Jesus Christ to help fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).  We realize that we have the world here at our door.  Whereas some are called to go to other nations and serve we are called to serve the nations that are coming to us.  As Soldiers are coming here along with their families to protect our country, we feel the awesome responsibility to connect with them providing support but more importantly helping them to connect to the true source of strength and support the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is Him that with be without wherever they go.  Our theme scripture is Psalms 2:8 Ask for the nations and I will give them to you as an inheritance.
